What To Expect: Itinerary
Stop At: Piazzale Michelangelo🏛️
Our driver will pick you up at 8.30 AM at your location (hotel, B&B or private apartment) and take you on a journey through the rolling hills of Tuscany. If you have not yet visited the most panoramic point of Florence, Piazza Michelangelo, will be the first stop. You can take some beautiful photos of Florence. Michelangelo Plaza (Piazzale Michelangelo) is a square with a panoramic view of Florence. The square, dedicated to the Renaissance sculptor Michelangelo, has bronze copies of some of his marble works found elsewhere in Florence: the David and the four allegories of the Medici Chapel of San Lorenzo.

Stop At: Siena🏛️
After the stop at Michelangelo Plaza we will move to Siena, crossing the Chianti motorway.
Siena is a historic city on the region of Tuscany and is the capital of the province of Siena.
The city, a jewel of Tuscany renowned for its medieval charm and rich history. You’ll enjoy a 1.5-hour self-guided tour through its UNESCO-listed historic center, a maze of cobblestone streets and stunning Gothic architecture.
Highlights of Siena:
- Piazza del Campo: One of Europe’s most beautiful medieval squares, famous for its unique shell shape and as the site of the legendary Palio horse race, held twice a year. Don’t miss the striking Palazzo Pubblico and the soaring Torre del Mangia.
- Siena Cathedral (Duomo): A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, boasting intricate sculptures, stunning mosaics, and works by Michelangelo and Donatello.

Stop At: Podere La Marronaia 🌿🍷🍝
For lunch, we’ll take you to the charming Podere La Marronaia – Le Colonne Biodynamic Winery & Farm, a family-run Tuscan gem where authenticity and nature come together for an unforgettable experience.
You’ll relax in a beautiful garden or in the cozy, private tasting rooms while soaking in breathtaking views of the famous medieval towers of San Gimignano—a panorama that feels straight out of a postcard.
This biodynamic winery is renowned for its commitment to natural farming and the production of exceptional, authentic Tuscan products.

After lunch we will drive through the sweet Siena hills, among olive-groves, cypress trees and incredible vineyards up to the medieval town of San Gimignano (second stop of the Francigena Way).
Step into a medieval fairy tale in San Gimignano, renowned for its imposing towers and charming old town. Explore cobblestone streets, artisan shops, and the fascinating history of the Twin Towers.
- Ascend the Torre Gossa for stunning views of the countryside.
- Visit the San Gimignano Museum to uncover the town’s storied past.
Take a photo of the famous Twin Towers of San Gimignano
- Indulge in award-winning gelato from Gelateria Dondoli, hailed as the World’s Best.
Be sure to taste the city’s signature Vernaccia wine, a historic white wine crafted from the Vernaccia grape variety.
Stop At: Monteriggioni🏛️
Not far from San Gimignano, we will visit Monteriggioni Castle. In antiquity Monteriggioni was famed as an impregnable fortress and another stop on the Francigena Way. The enchanting medieval village of Monteriggioni, a perfectly preserved fortress town that appears frozen in time. Surrounded by intact walls and 14 watchtowers, Monteriggioni was built by the Sienese in the 13th century to defend against Florentine attacks. Stroll its cobbled streets, enjoy the panoramic views, and imagine life during medieval times.
Stop At: Poggio ai Laghi winery (or Guidi winery) 🍷🌿🍷🍇
Poggio ai Laghi is a winery nestled in Tuscany’s Chianti Valley, near the medieval town of Monteriggioni. Surrounded by serene lakes and rolling hills, the estate cultivates Sangiovese, Merlot, and Vermentino grapes that flourish in its unique microclimate.
Your visit includes guided tasting of six wines: two Vermentino, two Chianti, and two Super Tuscan varieties.
To enhance the experience, you’ll also taste their luxurious Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a rich and golden delight, and their aged Balsamic Vinegar, a velvety treasure bursting with flavor. Each sip and bite is a celebration of Tuscany’s passion for authentic flavors and timeless traditions.
